Hurricane Sandy hit the New Jersey coast on Monday October 29th and battered the Jersey Shore for 12 hours.  Winds reached 80 mph with record rainfall.  Cedar Creek Marina, home of Barnegat Bay Sailing School, was under 3 feet of water.    One sailboat tied to the dock floated above the pilings and as the tide receded it was hung up on the pilings.  Due to the gallant efforts of Richard, Jimmy, and a few other brave souls damage was minimal.  Here is some video of the day after the superstorm hit.
