Whether you are a novice sailor or a student that has just completed an ASA sailing course, everyone can benefit from a refresher or private sailing lesson. At Barnegat Bay Sailing Charters we have a course specifically designed to meet the needs of the new sailboat owner.

For over 20 years we have taught thousands of students how to sail by offering the ASA Basic Keelboat course. We have now downsized and are only offering private lessons to new sailboat owners thru a program we call "Getting to know your boat."

The lessons are taught on your boat in 3-hour sessions. Depending on your kill level we will have you and your crew sailing the new boat in only 1-2 sessions. Learning to sail on your own sailboat enables you to build the confidence needed to become a competent sailor.
